As a general rule, there will be one SIEF for each phase-in substance. In the first instance, Pre-Registrants of substances with the same identification had to establish whether their substances are indeed the same for the purpose of SIEF formation and registration. Reference is made to emails to all pre-registrants of the nine substances earlier this year, especially the sameness surveys conducted in March and April 2009, after which "sameness" was established.
SIEFs have been formed for each tungsten substance and a web-based forum has gone live for each of these. Login details have been sent by email to all SIEF members on 16 July 2009. Please contact the Consortium Secretariat - reach@itia.info for further information.
